Abstract

Revolutionizing the historical imaginary in the novel "Hayzia" constitutes a daring steptowards deconstructing the narrative discourse and reconstructing an alternative narrative that alignswith the novelistic imagination created by the author who seeks to shed light on popular oraltraditions and marginalized narrative accounts shaped by various social and historical forces.Altering the narrative is a both a complex and a profound process because the novelist intentionallychanges the course of events, character destinies, or the overall theme of the narrative moving fromsubtle modifications to complete reformulations. This process attempts to uncover deeper layers ofcharacters, events, and narrative trajectories, and to offer alternative narrative interpretations ofhistorical events.
