The Role of the Fourth Estate (Algerian Media) in Protecting Human Rights

Abstract

This study aims to address the following issue: What roles can the media, through its various means, play in promoting and protecting human rights? How has the Algerian media contributed to this? The study concludes that the media, through its diverse means, plays a significant pioneering role in promoting and protecting human rights. This is evident both in raising awareness about the value of these rights and in disseminating their culture among citizens, as well as in monitoring, documenting, and exposing violations and infringements against them.
