Improving Reading through Written Comprehension: Issues and Remediations

Abstract
In the teaching of French as a Foreign Language (FLE), reading comprehension is a fundamental skill that directly contributes to the development of learners' reading and analytical abilities. However, many students face difficulties in decoding, interpreting, and assimilating written texts, which hinders their linguistic and academic progress.This study, adopting a didactic approach, focuses on 1A.S students and aims to identify the specific obstacles they encounter during reading comprehension sessions.
