Abstract
This study aims to diagnose the actual and practical reality of teaching functional grammar at the Algerian University, exactly at the Higher School of Teachers Sétif, and to achieve this goal it relied on a field study in which a set of techniques were employed, including: direct inspection and distribution of the questionnaire to a sample of fourth-year middle and secondary students concerned with the study of this scale.
