Abstract

Among the large group of Arab poets in al-Andalus, according to sources there wasla princesa omeya Wallada Bint el Mustakfi ( 994-1091), poetisa que inspiro a los poetas de su época, algunos por ser enamorados de ella como Ibn Zaydun others for admiring its beauty and bravear. Wallada is considered as a female archetype whose conduct and poetic production surpass his epoch, his personality, emancipation from the masculine world, his freedom his revolutionary character within a medieval Muslim and conservative society, did not prevent her from organizing her literary salon, and receiving poets and competing with her adversaries through eloquent verses, and expressing her freedom, craving and love, until then daring conduct that made her an emblematic character for his time.
