Abstract

This research is aim to discuss on the new approach that based on Augmented Reality (AR) to strengthen the activity for students in learning Malay literatures subject in school and help to develop the school students  that possess positive knowledge, creative and critical in fulfilling the National Education Philosophy. The students that have difficulty in comprehend the novel ‘Naratif Ogonshoto’ lead to this studies and constructed the application of ‘Sasteraya’ that based on Augmented Reality (AR) technology that helps the student comprehension in teaching and learning the Malays literatures. A total of 100 students and three teachers of Malays Literatures became the sample for this research. The researchers also used the instrument of survey forms and interview oriented method. The data collected will be analyse based on statistics which from the percentage and numbers according to the choice of answers from respondents. The findings of this research indicates that to how extent the effectiveness of recent application that based on Augmented Reality (AR) technology can improve the students understanding in the teaching and learning of Malays Literatures,  improve the development of the students positive knowledge, creative and critical to fulfil the National Education Philosophy and to how extent that this application that based on Augmented Reality (AR) technology functions as the consolidation activities to the students in learning the Malays Literatures subject in the school.
