Abstract

The present study was carried out to know the use of social networking applications to improve English reading and writing skills of students at undergraduate level. We live in the period of technology, innovation, and social networking. Currently the entire world is like a single nation. Relatively every one of the individuals, male and female from young men to maturity individuals and from the working-class individuals to the privileged utilize different web based life apparatuses for assortment of purposes. Presently because of this explanation the researcher led the investigation of online life job in English reading and writing improvement at college level. The target population for the data collection for this study was the students of The University of Lahore, Kinnaird College for women and UMT.a SWOT matrix was specifically used to be able to explore the weaknesses, opportunities, strengths and threats. SWOT analysis is a tool that mostly utilized in business organizations and systems, and here it is employed because of its practicality and affectivity (Pickton& Wright, 1998. It was discovered that internet based life assumes a huge job being developed of English language perusing and composing aptitudes at college level. At last it was suggested in the light of this elucidating study that internet based life is significant particularly being developed of English language getting the hang of perusing and composing abilities.
